Steven is an investment director and Head of European equities and Real Estate Investment Trusts at SWIP. He is responsible for the investment process and performance of their European equity funds and for managing European equity portfolios for institutional clients. Before joining SWIP in 2004, Steven worked for Standard Life Investments for nine years as part of the European equity team. He managed the company's Irish equity funds, prior to concentrating on European portfolios.
When sector analysis was introduced in 1998 he concentrated on the banking sector, together with ongoing portfolio management responsibilities. Prior to joining Standard Life, he worked for Dunedin Fund Managers as a fixed income manager between 1994 and 1995. Steven began his investment career with the Life Association of Scotland in 1987 with responsibility for sterling money market and foreign exchange analysis, before managing the company's Irish equity fund from 1989. Steven holds a B.Sc in Mathematics from Heriot Watt University.
Peter joined SWIP in 2003 and is responsible for managing a number of SWIP's retail UK equity portfolios. These include SWIP UK Opportunities, SWIP UK Advantage, SW UK Select and SW Select Growth. His research responsibilities include the oil and gas producers and the mining sectors.
Prior to joining SWIP, Peter spent five years with Edinburgh Fund Managers' UK equity team, and was appointed investment manager in 2000.
He started his career with KPMG in its commercial audit department, working on behalf of a variety of clients in manufacturing and financial services.
Peter holds an MSc in Investment Analysis from Stirling University, and a BA in accountancy from Napier University. He is also an associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
